Sift and Winnow
13 minute video loop projected on casting sand and found objects, created for Forge, an art exhibition in the Madison Brass Works building, featured installations inspired by the history of the building, its workers, and the elements involved in the transfigurations that took place on site, curated by Erica Monroe-Kane and Ellen Carlson. Sift and Winnow draws on the legacy of the "sifting and winnowing" plaques found at each of the University of Wisconsin campuses, originally cast at the Madison Brass Works.
